South India’s first AC Double Decker train successfully completed its trial run from Chennai to Bangalore on Sunday.
Southern railways will conduct another round of inspection before formally launching the service.

- A double-decker coach can carry 128 passengers in comparison to 78 in a Shatabdi chair car, increasing the capacity by about 70 percent.
